Ypsilanti, MI – The Humane Society of Huron Valley is getting one million dollars from Washtenaw County toward a seven-point-five million dollar plan to build a new animal shelter.
County commissioners unanimously approved the funds from the county's capital reserves and approved a notice of intent to sell six-point-five million dollars in bonds for the project, which will be repaid by the humane society. Click on the audio icon for more on the story from WEMU's Andrew Cluley.
