Washtenaw County, MI – Washtenaw County and one of the three townships locked in a dispute over the cost of police services are headed to mediation.
Augusta Township and the county have agreed to mediation, while Ypsilanti and Salem townships countered the mediation offer with a settlement proposal.
County commissioners voted nine to one Wednesday night against the settlement offer, saying it was only a small improvement from the townships' original offer.
