Some of that is dependent on finding the people and places that allow for creation.  That is at the heart of Grove Studios in Ypsilanti.  Meet Rick Coughlin, a co-founder, and learn about the ongoing evolution a facility designed to put music and art out in the community.

Creative industries in Washtenaw County add hundreds of millions of dollars to the local economy.  In the weeks and months to come, 89.1. WEMU's David Fair and co-host Deb Polich, the President and CEO of The Arts Alliance, explore the myriad of contributors that make up the creative sector in Washtenaw County.  

Rick Coughlin and his two partners, Breck Crandell and Eric Friebel, developed the concept of Grove Studiosback in 2016 as a business to offer furnished rehearsal and work spaces to creative people - particularly musicians.
