This week, Bob Eccles had the opportunity to interview movie producer and EMU grad Wesley Coller, who's giving the commencement speech this weekend at Eastern Michigan University. They discussed how Coller's educational journey led to a career in the arts.
A former Pinckney, Michigan resident, Coller graduated from Eastern Michigan in 1999 with a bachelor of arts in telecommunication and film and a minor in graphic design. Immediately after graduation, he and his wife, Celeste, whom he met at EMU, moved to Los Angeles.
He has worked with Zack Snyder on countless commercial projects and throughout Snyder's feature career. He worked on "300", 2004's "Dawn of the | Dead", "Watchmen", "Sucker Punch" and "Man of Steel". Coller is the executive producer for the "Man of Steel" sequel, which is in pre-production at studios in Pontiac and will be out in the summer of 2015.
