With five from Eastern Michigan University awarded Fulbright grants for 2015-16, the University now has more Fulbright scholars than any other Master's degree granting university in the nation.

The Fulbright program has been around since 1946 and sponsors U.S. and foreign participants for exchanges in all areas - including the sciences, business, academia, public service, government, and the arts with the goal to increase mutual understanding between the people of the United States and the people of other countries.

EMU officials say the recognition reflects the world class learning environment and the high quality teaching that takes place at Eastern.
