Eastern Michigan University's Student Center was bathed in blue light Wednesday night as part of the annual Autism Speaks "Light It Up Blue" campaign.
The lighting of the Student Center also spotlighted the university's non-profit Autism Collaborative Center, a resource for families across southeast Michigan dealing with autism.
Autism affects one in 68 children, and is more common than childhood cancer, diabetes and AIDS combined.
