Eastern Michigan University student Steven Kwasny has announced his candidacy for state representative of the 53rd district.
The 28-year old says he will not accept campaign donations. Kwasny believes relationships change when money is involved.
"Me and the campaign are trying to prove it's possible to run a race with not having to treat like the seat is for sale."
The political science student plans to run a paperless campaign by using the Internet to get his messages out. He is running against Washtenaw County Commissioner YousefRabhi.
