With the departure of Eastern Michigan University's president less than 3 weeks away the search for a permanent replacement is getting underway.
Susan Martin previously announced she was stepping down as EMU'S president effective July 7th. During Tuesday's regents meeting, chairman Mike Morris said the selection of the presidential search advisory committee and hiring of an executive search firm were the key steps in the process of hiring a replacement. The board announced Atlanta based"Parker Executive Search" has been hired to help look for a new university president. Listening sessions are also planned for the Fall to gather feedback from the campus community as Eastern looks for a new president. Provost Kim Schatzel will serve on an interim basis while the search is conducted.
