EMU Regents Approve Continuation Budget

By Andrew Cluley

Ypsilanti, MI – Eastern Michigan University will continue to operate at current funding levels through next month. EMU's Board of Regents approved a continuation budget Tuesday which will last through the board's next meeting in July. Regents hope the university will have a better picture of state funding for the new fiscal year by then.
EMU President John Fallon says he's heartened that state leaders say higher education is the key to improving the state's economy. He says some other states have given their public universities double-digit funding increases.
