Seven students and a faculty member from Eastern Michigan University traveled to El Salvador this past weekend, part of a delegation observing the presidential election.
Senior Ihsan Ghadieh was among those who helped out at the polls, making sure the election was fair and free.
He says they were motivated to go to El Salvador after taking a class at Eastern on poverty, health and human rights.
