The final ReImagine Washtenaw Report outlines changes designed to make the five-mile stretch of Washtenaw Avenue between Ann Arbor and Ypsilanti more transit-centered and bike and pedestrian friendly.
The plan calls for improvements such as large center medians and buffered bike lanes.
Communities along the corridor are expected to soon begin making some of the smaller changes outlined in the plan, like connecting sections of sidewalk that currently have gaps between them.
