Ruth Ann Jamnick beats out three others in primary race to take seat currently held by Rolland Sizemore Jr.
The 5th District of the Washtenaw County Board of Commissioners will have new representation in November. Former Ypsilanti Township Supervisor and 54th District State representative Ruth Ann Jamnick won a four-way run-off to advance to the general Election.
Jamnick collected over 36-percent of the vote in beating Keith Jason, Victor Dobrin and Wilma Gold Jones. she finished 122-votes in front of Jason.
Rolland Sizemore Jr. currently hold the 5th District Commission seat. He decided against running for re-election.
Jamnick will race a Republican challenge in November from timothy King. The winner will serve a two-year term.
