There was a prayer vigil last night organized by Kalamazoo area churches to remember the six people killed over the weekend in a shooting spree.
The service was attended by several hundred mourners. Julie Kieser was one of the people who put the program together.
“Your stomach sinks just immediately thinking of the tragedy for the people who’ve lost people they love.”
The suspect in the killings, Jason Brian Dalton, is to be arraigned later today. There’s no known motive for the shootings. Authorities believe the victims were randomly chosen.
Dalton is an Uber driver. It appears he was picking up fares during the same period while the shootings were occurring. Neighbors of Dalton’s in rural Cooper Township outside Kalamazoo say they’re shocked at the news.
