Tax renewal for Manchester Community Schools passes by wide margin
By the narrowest of margins, voters in the Manchester Community Schools District passed a bond request. With nearly 15-hundred ballots cast, the measure passed by one vote, 748-747.
The 3.6 million dollar sale of bonds will allow for facilities improvements, remodeling and refurnishing, new school busses and improved technology and security in the schools.
It is unknown whether a recount will be requested.
The other question before voters in the district passed much more easily. voters were asked to renew a 20-year, 18-mill tax for district operations and 68-percent of voters agreed to do so.
