New Overtime Rules Will Affect Hundreds Of Washtenaw County Employees

About 600 employees in Washtenaw County will be affected by new rules from the U.S. Labor Department.

 

New overtime exemption rules will change how the county employs about 600 hundred people.  

Diane Heidtis the Human Resources Manager for Washtenaw County. 

She says, 

"[We're trying to understand] the financial implications that this could potentially have.”

The changes will take effect millions of workers nationwide.  The new overtime rules will begin this December.
