Ypsilanti’s last housing development to be redeveloped is scheduled for demolition late next month.
The Parkridge Housing Development will be redeveloped with funds from Housing and Urban Development (HUD) by the Ypsilanti Housing Commission. The commission's Executive Director, ZacFosler.
"We hope to close on financing by the end of April, with construction starting immediately after closing."
Fosler says an exact demolition date will be determined once temporary housing has been found for all current residents.
Parkridge is the the last of the three historic housing developments built in Ypsilnati during the 1940s.
