Regents to Appoint New EMU President
Ypsilanti, MI – Eastern Michigan University's Board of Regents will meet in special session this Wednesday morning at 9, and is expected to appoint doctor Susan Martin as the university's 22nd president.
Martin is currently the Provost and Vice-Chancellor for Academic Affairs at the University of Michigan - Dearborn.
Board of Regents chair Thomas Sidlik says she was chosen for EMU's top administrative post following discussions on Saturday, which followed day-long campus visits last week by the four finalists for the job.
Martin would be the first woman president in EMU's 159 year history.
