Regional Rapid Mass Rail Proposal Is On Track

Lisa Barry

The Regional Transit Authority of Southeast Michigan has unveiled its new master plan for a rapid public transportation system.

The proposal calls for expanding rail and bus systems and connecting Washtenaw, Macomb, Oakland, and Wayne Counties.

The RTA Board of Directors will vote in mid-July to put a 1.2 millage proposal to raise over $2 billion to fund the system on the November ballot.
