Registering Wash Co Students To Vote As Part Of "In The Public Interest"

In this second edition of "In The Public Interest," a bi-weekly conversation with the League of Women Voters of the Ann Arbor area, 89.1 WEMU's Lisa Barry is joined by two guests talking about their efforts to get local high school students registered to vote and inspiring their interest with art as in a poster contest.

Local activist Roddy Wares and artist Nan Elders talk about signing up hundreds of Washtenaw County high school students to vote in upcoming elections and the poster contest intended to inspire young voters.

The Ann Arbor Area Transportation Authorityhas agreed to show the winning poster on some of its buses.  There are cash prizes for winning posters.
