Responsive Radio

Late last week and this weekend, the world of music lost two giants:  bluesman, James Cotton, and one of the primary architects of rock and roll, the iconic Chuck Berry.  Both had legendary careers that influenced thousands of musicians that came after them, including Keb' Mo and the Rolling Stones.

Within minutes of learning of these deaths, WEMU was on the air and online with tributes to these extraordinary artists; tributes that would not have been possible or that would have been delayed if we were not live and responsive on the air.

Responsive radio is something you can only get when there are live hosts on the air, paying attention, and making sure you get information as fast as it comes in.  Whether it's a news story that breaks over the weekend or a significant story in the music world, we are here, checking the facts and bringing that news to you quickly, efficiently, and accurately.

On this sixth day of WEMU's spring pledge drive, let us know that responsive radio matters to you with your response.  If you've not done so already, please make your gift of financial support today.
