Today begins "Sexual Assault Prevention Week" on the Eastern Michigan University campus.

Eastern's Student Government organization is hosting a week-long campaign targeted towards raising awareness of sexual assault and ending stigmas against survivors.

A number of events are planned all week on the EMU campus, and all students, personnel, faculty, and staff at Eastern will be asked to sign a pledge asking them to "speak up and stand UP" if they see something happening that could be or is sexual assault.

Special activities are planned Monday through Thursday on the EMU campus as part of the campaign.
