Superior Township Voters Approve Two Tax Questions

Tax renewals to pay for Law Enforcement Services and Fire Protection.

Both questions before Superior Township voters passed by a 4-1 margin. 80-percent of voters approved the 4-year, 2.25 mill for Law Enforcement Services. 83-percent approved renewal of the 4-year, 3-mill tax for Fire Protection Services.

Each of the tax levies will be collected between the years of 2015 and 2018. The Law Enforcement measure will generate over 1.2 million dollars int he first year of collection. the Fire Protection tax will generate over 1.6 million in the first year.
