Take A Tour Through One Of The World's Most Extensive Jazz Libraries

Aug 30, 2017

Our friends at Concentrate Media put together a great video featuring our extensive music collection through a tour with WEMU's Micheal Jewett.

WEMU is celebrating 40 years of broadcasting jazz this year - since 1977. Concentrate Media takes you on a tour of one of the largest broadcast libraries of jazz music in the country with host and operations director, Michael Jewett, who has also been with WEMU for the majority of those 40 years.

With numbers close to nearly 100,000 records (and growing), the collection rivals a museum on many aspects, it also reflects the accesibility of a personal record collection. Watch the video for more.

It's public radio, so it belongs to the people that listen to it. - Michael Jewett.
