One of the busiest stretches of freeway outside of Metro Detroit is US-23 north of Ann Arbor.  Work on a new "Flex Route"to ease some of that congestion has been underway for a year and finally opened for limited use on Wednesday.

89.1 WEMU’s Lisa Barry spoke with Michigan Department of Transportation spokesperson Kari Arend who gives an update on the progress of the Flex Route opening.
