Voters Approve ISD Millage Increase

By Bob Eccles

Washtenaw County, MI – Washtenaw County voters have overwhelmingly approved a millage increase for the county's intermediate school district that will help pay local districts for special education programs.
Local districts would have been forced to dip into their general fund budgets to cover special education had the millage been rejected.
The additional millage is expected to generate 12-point-five million dollars this year. The funds will be distributed by the WISD to local school districts in Washtenaw County.
