Washtenaw Probate Judge Primary: Owdziej and Van den Bergh Advance to November
Owdziej and Van den Bergh top two vote-getters in five-way primary race.
Sitting Judge Julia Owdziej and Tracy Van den Bergh have won the right to face off in the November election for Washtenaw Probate Judge.
With the majority of precincts counted, they easily outdistanced Jane Basset, Tamara Garwood and Constance Jones for the right to advance.
Owdziej was appointed to the probate bench and finished out the term of Nancy Wheeler, who voluntarily left the position. The winner of the November election will serve a full, six-year term.
