Radio reporters and industry subscribers receive the weekly Jazz Fax or Smooth Fax with the current chart each Friday.
?Linda Yohn is tirelessly dedicated to jazz as an art form,? said WEMU?s station manager, Arthur Timko. ?Her work with the labels, to get the best new releases and classic reissues for WEMU airplay, is unparalleled in the industry and her devotion to live music here in the community should serve as an inspiration to all. Nobody deserves this award more.
?We?re delighted that WEMU was also named station of the year,? Timko continued. ?Linda has put together an air staff and sound that sets the standard for jazz radio and I?m glad it?s been recognized with this award.?
