When You Approach A Roundabout In Traffic, Do You Pass Through With Confidence Or Confusion?

Four Washtenaw County police agencies are working together this month to increase education, compliance, and knowledge about driving through one of the county's 18 roundabouts.

89.1 WEMU's Lisa Barry spoke with Sergeant William Clock of the Ann Arbor Police Department's Special Services division about the "roundabout enforcement project" underway now through the first of May.

The WashtenawCounty Sheriff's Department, Michigan State Police, and PittsfieldTownship Police are working with the Ann Arbor Police Departmentas part of the project.

Sgt. Clock says they may end up handing out some tickets to drivers, but the ultimate goal is to educate motorists on the safe and proper way to pass through a traffic roundabout.
