York Township Voters Approve Tax Renewal

Police and Fire Public Safety Services millage passes by nearly a 4-to-1 margin

More than a thousand votes were cast on Tuesday in York Township. 801 were in favor of renewing the tax. The tax will be levied through the year 2018.

In this first year of collection, it will generate nearly 373-thousand dollars. Because of required millage rollbacks, the former one-mill tax will now be levied at .97 mills.
