Ypsilanti Teacher Faces Sex Charges

By Bob Eccles

Ypsilanti, MI – An Ypsilanti middle school teacher has been charged with criminal sexual conduct for allegedly improperly touching female students.
62-year-old drama teacher Donald Bartolacci has been arraigned on felony charges and released after posting a one-thousand dollar bond. He's due back in court for a preliminary examination July 20th.
Ypsilanti police spent a month investigating allegations from nine girls that Bartolacci improperly touched them. The case was then referred to the Washtenaw County Prosecutor's office, which issued an arrest warrant on two counts of second-degree criminal sexual conduct.
The Ypsilanti Board of Education has begun proceedings to fire Bartolacci.
