The Eastern Michigan University men's golf team concluded the sixth annual Golfweek Conference Challenge with an eighth-place finish at the par 72, 7,229-yard Spirit Hollow Golf Club.

The Eastern Michigan University volleyball team continues the 2014 campaign with its last non-conference home contest of the season Thursday, Sept. 18, versus UC Irvine. The match is slated to begin at 7 p.m. inside the Convocation Center.

The EMU Office for Alumni Relations will be hosting a tailgate Saturday, Sept. 20, prior to the football team's contest at Michigan State University. Join fellow EMU alumni, friends and fans at a pregame tailgate located at the northeast corner of Spartan Stadium (near Gate L). The game starts at noon, but doors to the event will open three hours prior to kickoff. Cost to attend is $20/person for advance purchases (ages 10 & under free) or $25/person at check-in.

The fourth of 10 Eastern Michigan University Football Coaches Luncheons is Wednesday Sept. 17, at noon. The luncheon will be held at Sidetrack Bar and Grill, located at 56 East Cross Street in Ypsilanti's historic Depot Town. First-year Head Coach Chris Creighton will address the group and participate in a question and answer session during each event.

The Mid-American Conference announced Tuesday, Sept. 16, that Eastern Michigan University men's cross country student-athlete Willy Fink has been named the MAC Runner of the Week. The award marks the first of Fink's career and the second of the 2014 season for the Green and White after Nick Raymond garnered the honor in the first week of competition, Sept. 4.
