More students at Eastern Michigan University are now facing discipline for an overnight protest on campus just over a month ago.

89.1 WEMU's Lisa Barry spoke with one of the original four students to be disciplined for that protest.

EMU spokesman Geoffrey Larcom issued a statement on behalf of the university that included the following:

There’s a special graphic art exhibition on display inside the Eastern Michigan University Student Center, featuring 74 politically based posters from artists around the world.

The “Posters of Discontent” exhibition was organized by EMU professor of graphic design in the school of art and design, Andrew Maniotes.

An investigation is underway into racist graffiti painted on the outside of an Eastern Michigan University Building.

 Eastern Michigan University’s Board of Regents yesterday passed a budget for the fiscal year that begins July 1st. As part of the spending measure, the Regents approved a contract with food vendor Chartwells. The decision to privatize the school’s dining services did not come about without some criticism.
