Ypsilanti Mayor Paul Schreiber is officially throwing his support behind Amanda Edmonds in the three-way race to replace him.
Schreiber says Edmonds "would provide business experience that Ypsilanti City Council sorely needs."
Edmonds is executive director of Growing Hope, and chair of the Ypsilanti Downtown Development Authority.
Schreiber says Edmonds' collaborative approach "will be a refreshing addition to City Council".
City council member Pete Murdock and community activist Tyrone Bridges are also on the August primary ballot.
